CREATE Mates

Are you working in an out-of-home care office?
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people in care?
Are you motivated to make a difference?
If this sounds like you then you would be the ideal candidate to become a CREATE Mate!

Our CREATE Mates are part of an active network of individuals within organisations who promote CREATE activities and events and encourage everyone in your office to join up their children and young people to clubCREATE.

As a CREATE mate, you will be the “go to” person to spread the word about our initiatives, research projects, clubCREATE membership, programs and activities. We will make sure you receive regular contact from us by phone, email, or face to face, so you have all the latest information about local events as well as national news.

You will also receive electronic copies of our quarterly clubCREATE Magazines. Created for children and young people in care, the magazines let them about what’s going on with CREATE and the out-of-home care sector, provide stories about other young people in care, plus they can enter our fun competitions.

As a CREATE Mate, you will help spread the word about CREATE to your network. You can do this in a number of ways including through:

• Signage in public areas and in your office, including event information
• Providing brochures and membership forms to colleagues, young people, and carers,
• Forwarding emails, talking about our advocacy and engaging with our social media content

To help with getting the word out, we have a range of resources and information available, including posters, brochures and membership forms available here.
