COVID-19 Vaccination Project

In partnership with the Victorian Government, we’ve put together a whole bunch of resources to encourage young people with a care experience, particularly those in residential care, to get vaccinated!

There are a lot of rumors, misinformation and confusion swirling around about the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine. Part of this campaign involves providing access to reliable information, with the aim to help overcoming fears, hesitation or questions about the vaccines.

With young people in residential care more likely to regularly come into contact with people in the community through workers, support people and larger household sizes. it’s important that those in this care setting feel confident, informed and empowered to make an educated decision about getting vaccinated against COVID-19.

We asked young people in Victoria who had decided or were choosing to get vaccinated, why they did, what questions they had, and what they were looking forward to as we return to “COVID-normal”.

You can help us by sharing some of the below materials to your networks, encouraging young people with questions to talk to medical professionals or head to a vaccination clinic.
