Transition 2 Adulthood Month Launch: Thriving Beyond Care
T2A Month is dedicated to supporting young people with a care experience—specifically those aged 15 to 19—as they prepare for or continue their journey into adulthood after leaving out-of-home care.
Young people in care are required to transition to independent living once they turn 18, which can be a big shift. This event is designed to support both those approaching that transition and those who have recently transitioned, helping them access the services and supports they need to thrive beyond care.
The T2A Launch Expo is a youth-friendly, engaging event where you can:
- Connect with services offering support in housing, education, employment, health, legal rights, and more.
- Join guided tours led by young people with lived experience—ideal if you’re unsure what to ask or just want a friendly face to show you around.
- Enjoy fun activities, a free lunch, and a relaxed space to explore your options.
- Play the expo game to earn your entry ticket to Sea World, valid for use immediately after the event!
