Transition to Adulthood Month

Every November, we celebrate Transition to Adulthood (T2A Month) to support young people in Queensland as they move from out-of-home care to adulthood. Each year, over 600 young people in Queensland start living independently. This big step includes finding a place to live, getting a job or continuing education, building support networks, accessing services, learning to budget, managing money, sorting out transport, and keeping track of important documents.

Getting this right helps set you up for success. Some young people have lots of support during this transition, while others need more help. T2A Month is here to make sure everyone has the practical support, advice, services, and resources they need. We’re all about helping you on your journey to adulthood!

Stay tuned for our Communications Kit to help spread the message about T2A Month.
