CREATE Your Future Grant Scheme

Helping young people transition from care to independence

Leaving care and stepping into adulthood can be an exciting but overwhelming time. Many young people face significant financial challenges as they work towards their goals, whether it’s further education, employment, or setting up their first home.

At CREATE Foundation, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to build a bright future—and we’re here to help. The CREATE Your Future Grant Scheme provides financial assistance to young people aged 15-25 with a statutory care experience, supporting them in their transition to independence.

The 2025 CYF grant scheme is now open, and applications will close 5pm AEST Sunday 1st June.

What our grants offer

Each year, CREATE awards grants to eligible young people across Australia to help with:

  • Laptop Grant ($1,400) – Providing a laptop to support studies, work, and staying connected
  • Education & Training Grant ($1,500) – Assisting with course fees, study materials, and skill development
  • Clothing Voucher Grant ($500) – Helping with the cost of interview attire, workwear, and PPE
  • White Goods Voucher Grant ($500) – Supporting the purchase of essential household items like fridges or washing machines

These grants are designed to remove barriers and empower young people to take control of their future with confidence.

Why this support matters

Young people transitioning from care often tell us that this stage of life is one of the most stressful and uncertain times they face. Without family support or financial security, simple things like affording study materials, securing a job, or setting up a stable home can feel impossible.

By providing practical support through the CREATE Your Future Grant Scheme, we’re ensuring that young people have the resources they need to succeed.

How to apply

Applications for the CREATE Your Future Grants open once a year. To be eligible, young people must:

✅ Be a clubCREATE member
✅ Be aged 15-25

The best applications we receive are the ones that are completed in full. If an application is lodged that does not have all the information we need, it will be deemed ineligible (which means that we can’t assess your application).

We encourage all young people to complete the CREATE Your Future Application Form on their own however, you can ask for assistance from your carer, case worker, friend etc. if you require

You will be sent a letter soon after the closing date advising you if your application has been successful or not. CREATE receives a lot of applications and unfortunately we do not have the funds to support each application. We do realise that it is disappointing if you miss out and we appreciate your understanding if you are not successful.
